About the event
Come with WOA on this last full moon of the summer. Once in a "blue moon" we have a second full moon in the same month. The Blue Moon is shrouded in mystery, magic and folklore, likely because it doesn't happen every year. The term "blue moon" was first written by Shakespeare to mean rare over 400 years ago. We will take a break from paddling to appreciate this full moon's rareity.
What? This guided tour includes lessons of Greenfield Lake history, wildlife and more as well as a sunset and a moonrise all packed into an exciting 1.5 hour adventure.
Where? Greenfield Lake Boat launch (Use 1803 Carolina Beach Rd. Wilmington, NC)
When? August 30, 2023. Meet no later than 7:00pm. Finished by 8:45pm
Who? Up to 10 people. Ages 8 and up.
Cost is $55 per person.
