A Speed Dating Adventure by Wilmington Outdoor Adventures

Leave the dating apps behind, and join fellow singles for a kayak adventure to Masonboro Island. On this protected barrier island, you'll participate in a series of guided, relaxed, face-to-face conversations and fun challenges in one of the most beautiful natural settings on the North Carolina coast. Leave the gear at home — we’ve got the equipment covered, so you can focus on making a great connection!

Date: Saturday, April 10th, 2027

Launch Times: 8:30 AM & 9:30 AM (We will have two separate age groups launching)

Event Duration: Approximately 5.5 hours

To create the best possible experience, participation begins with this registration application and deposit. We will thoughtfully curate balanced groups based on age ranges and overall participation. If invited to participate, complete your registration for a total event cost of $125.

Just 14 participants per event. Every participant will have the opportunity to meet all seven potential matches while sharing an unforgettable adventure on Masonboro Island.

Spring Kayaks & Chemistry 2027 Timeline:

November 2, 2026 – Applications open

March 21 – Applications close (11:59 PM)

March 25 – Invitations sent to selected participants

March 29 – Final registration payment due

March 30–April 1 – Invitations sent to people on the waitlist, if needed

April 5 – Participants/Adventure Connections receive an email with all the final event details!

April 10–11 – Event days!

April 25 – Tentative weather makeup date
