About the event
Berry Supplies Team Bonding Week is a five-day guided kayaking experience designed to bring your team together through adventure, discovery, and shared experiences. Each day features a different paddle showcasing the waterways, wildlife, history, and coastal landscapes of southeastern North Carolina.
Itinerary
Tuesday, June 23 — Shark Tooth Island Tour (9:00 AM–11:30 AM)
Explore a fossil-rich island in the Cape Fear River famous for shark teeth. We’ll paddle less than 30 minutes to the island, spend about 1.5 hours searching for fossils and exploring, then return to the launch site during favorable low-tide conditions.
Wednesday, June 24 — Greenfield Lake Sunset Eco-Tour (7:00 PM–8:30 PM)
Paddle through a beautiful 90-acre cypress dome ecosystem in the heart of Wilmington. This relaxed eco-tour focuses on wildlife viewing, local history, and the fascinating ecology of Greenfield Lake.
Thursday, June 25 — Brunswick River to Mill Creek Paddle (5:00 PM–7:30 PM)
Enjoy a tide-assisted 2.5-hour journey from the Brunswick River into the freshwater environment of Mill Creek. Along the way, we’ll stop at Eagles Island to learn about its remarkable Gullah Geechee history and engineering legacy.
Friday, June 26 — Masonboro Island Sunset Tour (4:30 PM–8:30 PM)
Visit a protected barrier island with eight miles of pristine white-sand beach. After a tide-assisted paddle across, your team can relax, explore, or participate in optional beach team-building activities before paddling back through a beautiful estuarine ecosystem where dolphins are often seen.
Saturday, June 27 — Barnards Creek Birding Tour (7:00 PM–8:00 PM)
Finish the week with a peaceful evening paddle through the headwaters of Barnards Creek. This tour is especially known for sightings of Yellow-crowned Night Herons, egrets, osprey, and other coastal wildlife.
