Paddle into the spooky side of Greenfield Lake this Halloween! Join us for a one-hour sunset-to-dark adventure beneath the Spanish moss-covered cypress trees, filled with ghost stories and spooky surprises. Come in costume and receive credit toward a future WOA event or tour.

Something spooky is stirring at Greenfield Lake this Halloween! 🎃👻
Join Wilmington Outdoor Adventures on October 31 from 6:00–7:00 PM for a special one-hour Halloween paddle through the cypress-lined waters of Greenfield Lake.
We'll launch about 20 minutes before sunset, giving us just enough daylight to take in the eerie beauty of the lake before darkness settles in. As the sky fades and the Spanish moss takes on an especially haunting appearance, we'll paddle deeper into the cypress trees and share ghost stories, local legends, and other spooky tales connected to Greenfield Lake.
And you never know what—or who—you might encounter along the way! We've got a few fun surprises planned.
Costumes are encouraged! Anyone who arrives in costume will receive credit toward a future Wilmington Outdoor Adventures tour as a little Halloween treat.
This is a spooky adventure designed to be fun rather than frightening, combining the natural beauty of Greenfield Lake with Halloween atmosphere, storytelling, and a few unexpected surprises.
Come paddle with us as daylight disappears and Greenfield Lake transforms into something a little more mysterious. 🌙🎃
