Masonboro Island Yoga & Sunset Kayak

Join Wilmington Outdoor Adventures and Port City Power Yoga for a uniquely grounding Kayak + Yoga experience to Masonboro Island on Saturday, March 28th. We’ll launch at 3:00 PM, paddling together to Masonboro Island while utilizing the tidal current in our favor, making for a relaxed and enjoyable paddle (approximately one hour). Once on the island, you’ll step onto one of North Carolina’s most pristine barrier islands—accessible only by boat.

After settling in, enjoy a 45-minute all-levels vinyasa flow led by Port City Power Yoga's owner, Katelyn Maginnes, to connect breath, body, and the natural rhythms around you. Following yoga, you’ll have time to explore the island on your own, walk the shoreline, reflect, or simply soak in the beauty of this protected coastal environment.

As the afternoon softens into evening, we’ll return to our kayaks and paddle back with the tidal current working in our favor, gliding across the water as the sun dips toward the horizon. We’ll arrive back at sunset, around 7:30 PM, feeling refreshed, and deeply connected to nature.

This experience is perfect for those looking to move intentionally and enjoy the magic of the coast from both land and water.

• All levels of yoga experience welcome

• No prior kayaking experience required (you will receive brief kayak instructions before launching with your guide)

• Yoga mats are optional; a towel works well on the sand if you prefer to keep your mat sand-free!

• All kayaking equipment (kayak, paddle and pfd) included
