About the event
Meet at the “end of the line,” as Hunter S. Thompson once wrote about this magical location in San Francisco's wildest coastal edge, to begin your 1.5-hour San Francisco nature & history walking tour. We will start in Sutro Park, where ravens and pelicans soar above ocean cliffs at eye level and sweeping views reveal Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach and the closed Great Highway below. We then explore the Sutro Baths ruins and sea cave before walking the Lands End Coastal Trail, rich with Monterey cypress, wildflowers, and the chance to spot coyotes, sea lions, dolphins, and migrating whales. End with your most epic Golden Gate Bridge photo—a perfect memory of San Francisco’s wild edge.
