Experience the magic of golden hour on the water followed by a stunning near-full moonrise over the Atlantic.

We’ll launch at 4:30 PM, timing our paddle with the tidal current for a smooth, scenic one-hour journey to Masonboro Island. Arriving around 5:30 PM, you’ll have time to explore this pristine, undeveloped barrier island—walk the shoreline, search for shells, or simply take in the peaceful coastal surroundings.

At 6:30 PM, we’ll gather on the beach to watch the moon rise over the ocean. Just one day shy of full, the moon will appear large and golden as it climbs above the horizon, glowing in the soft light of the setting sun.

As we launch to return just before the 7:47 PM sunset, we will paddle back with shifting skies through vibrant sunset colors before fading into dusk. Our kayaks will be illuminated for a safe and memorable return under the evening sky, arriving back at the launch site around 8:30 PM.

This experience offers the best of both worlds—sunset paddling and moonrise magic—all timed perfectly with the natural rhythms of the coast.
